Turnkey EMS Delivery Starts With Material and Test Planning

For OEM/ODM electronics projects, material sourcing, approved alternatives, programming, functional testing and packing should be planned together.

Turnkey EMS Delivery Starts With Material and Test Planning

Turnkey EMS delivery is not only assembly. It connects purchasing, PCB fabrication, SMT, DIP, testing, final assembly, packing and shipment. The earlier these links are planned together, the easier it is to control lead time.

Material availability is often the first constraint. Approved alternatives for ICs, connectors, passive parts and displays should be discussed before production, especially when a customer expects repeat orders.

Testing is the second constraint. Programming files, fixtures, acceptance standards and packing labels need to be confirmed before batch build so production records match the final delivery requirement.
